Launching our new partnership: University for Peace Centre for Executive Education & GOOD Travel

The Centre for Executive Education at the United Nations-established University for Peace is proud to announce a new partnership with GOOD Travel, a New Zealand-based social enterprise dedicated to changing the face and experience of travel, working exclusively with tourism businesses that make a positive impact on the community, environment, and economy. This global partnership was designed with one question in mind: ‘what can passionate, sustainable, impact-driven travelers do in the midst of a near-total global travel ban?’Our solution? Learn! This partnership will open the door to GOOD travelers interested in taking their passion for positive impact further, enabling them a discount to participate in the UPEACE Centre for Executive Education’s Global Leadership Diploma. The discount will bring the program cost down to just $2,250, making it a highly affordable way to obtain professional development training. The online diploma program offers students an opportunity to connect with students from around the world, learn from a diverse set of facilitators who are experts in their fields and provides a clear tie to the United Nations and goals of world betterment. This partnership will allow those passionate about global citizenship and responsible travel to have a deep, impactful experience without leaving their homes! The flexible program will allow participants to choose the courses best suited for them, mastering skills such as positive negotiation, regenerative leadership, social entrepreneurship, and more.

Changemakers for sustainable travel

To make it a truly reciprocal partnership, UPEACE Centre for Executive Education alumni will also be eligible for a 10% discount on GOOD Travel programs. Though it may not be the right time to travel right now, it’s never a bad time to dream and plan for the future! With destinations like Fiji, Cambodia and Argentina, GOOD Travel will let Centre alumni experience the world in a sustainable way that contributes back to local communities, and opens doors to new worlds they may not have experiences before.

‘This is a very exciting partnership for us,’ says UPEACE Centre Director Julia Delafield. ‘We’ve worked with the founders of GOOD Travel for years, and know their values and vision as a company align with all that we’re trying to teach to our participants. In the midst of the global pandemic, it is clearer than ever before that we live in a delicate, interconnected world that needs compassionate, holistic leaders that can see the big picture. Anyone who is part of the GOOD Travel community is bound to be a great candidate for a Diploma in Global Leadership, and vice versa!’

Eliza Raymond, Co-Founder of GOOD Travel, agrees. ‘The timing of this partnership is perfect. So many GOOD travelers would love to be out experiencing the world and having a positive impact on the places they visit, but instead they are stuck at home. We see an opportunity for them to put that time to use, growing as individuals committed to global citizenship and regenerative leadership. We are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to the GOOD Travel community. And, of course, we welcome UPEACE Centre alumni to our future sustainable travel programs as well!’
