UPEACE Centre and Amani Institute – Partnership in Social Innovation Education
The UPEACE Centre for Executive Education is proud to announce a new partnership with the Amani Institute, with field programs in Kenya and Brazil. In this global partnership, Amani Fellows who complete their Post-Graduate Certificate in Social Innovation are now eligible for a further Diploma in Social Innovation from the Center for Executive Education (CEE), with the successful completion of two online courses offered as part of CEE’s Diploma in Social Innovation.
The month-long courses will be offered at a discounted fee of $350 per course and interested Fellows will take a minimum of 2 courses in order to receive their diploma.
“This is an exciting partnership for us”, says Roshan Paul, co-founder of Amani Institute, who has both taken executive courses and guest-lectured at CEE in the past. “From personal experience, I can attest that the Center for Executive Education at UPEACE is one of the most innovative academic centers around the world; they have been doing great work in creating new applied models for professional education and we’re proud to partner with them.”
Mohit Mukherjee, founder of the CEE, agrees. “I heard about the idea behind Amani Institute long before it was launched, when I invited Roshan Paul to guest lecture at my class at UPEACE in Costa Rica in 2010. Since then, I’ve watched with excitement as Amani Institute launched and grew quickly, and also developed several innovations in higher education that will have an important impact on people’s lives. At CEE, we’re looking forward to this partnership as just the first step in co-creating further programs together.”
The partnership will further extend the impact and professional development opportunities for students of both institutions. “The timing is ideal”, noted Ilaina Rabbat, co-founder of Amani Institute, who is leading its launch in Latin America. “Although both CEE and Amani Institute are global institutes, the fact that CEE is based in Latin America provides great synergy as we develop our own Latin America program from Brazil.”
Amani Institute applicants interested in learning more details about the Diploma in Social Innovation can contact Caroline Gertsch during their application process. Any other inquires can be sent to Roshan Paul.
