What is empowered communication?

Empowered Communication is having the tools and skills to use a range of communication practices–from assertive to empathetic to active listening–and the self-awareness to know when to use them. It is learning about ourselves, our needs, where our triggers are, and understanding our emotional experience, so that we may communicate effectively across all contexts. It is about prioritizing our own needs while remaining sensitive and empathetic to the needs of others and having tools to manage conflict when our needs are out of alignment with the people we care about.

Who should take this course?

From setting boundaries to assertive communication, this course is for anyone who wants to build strong personal and professional relationships, as well as:

o Individuals who want to develop and enrich their communication skills.
o Individuals who are interested in learning a range of communication styles, from assertive to empathic active-listening.
o Professionals who work in highly communicative organizations or industries where mindful communication skills are key.
