High-Performance Teams: Embracing our Differences

Teamwork can be tricky, but it doesn’t have to be! Differences can present critical opportunities to enhance team performance, and this course teaches you how to uncover them. If you are curious about human behavior, and what makes us uniquely different, with a burning desire to enhance team collaboration and synergy, this 4-week live virtual course is made for you. Using the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator personality test as our guide we will reveal insights into the motivations and behaviors shaping us all. From expanding your own personal awareness and discovering your unique MBTI leadership style, to an in-depth analysis of your team’s personality traits and approach, you’ll learn how to see team cohesion in a completely different light.

This course counts as part of a Diploma in Social Innovation or Global Leadership.

Week 1: Who are you? An Introduction to MBTI

Week 2: Get Creative! Learn how to understand yourself and others with team-type tables

Week 3: My Team and I: Capitalize on team strengths to find common ground during conflict

Week 4: Bring it all together: Final Project – Team MBTI Analysis and Leadership Styles

The course will be led by David Espinoza Gamboa. David is a certified practitioner for the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator test with about 6 years of experience facilitating and interpreting MBTI results. He has facilitated sessions with the consulting firm McKinsey and Company and as an independent instructor with his own consulting firm Intendere Strengths Consulting. He is also certified in the Clifton Strengths Finder tool. In his free time, David is a Licensed Tour Guide in the city of San José and an active member of the music band Republica Fortuna.

This is a 4-week live virtual course starting in May 20, 2025.

$650 tuition rate for the 4-week live virtual workshop. A certificate is awarded upon completion by the Centre for Executive Education at the University for Peace, established by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
