Flexible schedule and compelling content

With an average of 4-8 hours of work per week, this online course is made for your busy schedule: It includes videos, live webinars, articles, and forums for discussions.

Course Format

This is an online course. Each week, a new module opens that includes videos, articles, and forums for discussions that can be completed offline at a convenient time for the participant.

The course also includes live sessions, which are not mandatory but highly recommended for creating connections with other participants and digging into course materials. Live session times are announced approximately one week before the course begins, as we do our best to take into account the time zones present in each class when we decide on session times.

Dr. Amr Abdalla is a Professor Emeritus at the University for Peace. Currently, he serves as the Scholar in Residence at Juniata College's Baker Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, Pennsylvania, USA. He also serves as the Senior Advisor on Conflict Resolution at the Washington-based organization KARAMAH (Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights). Amr brings a multidisciplinary background to his graduate classes and workshops in conflict analysis and resolution, which he has conducted in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. He holds a law degree from Egypt, a Master’s degree in Sociology, and Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University.

This is a 4-week online course starting tentative April 27, 2024. This a brand-new course that currently runs twice a year. Ask us about future offerings at centre@upeace.org.

The course is designed with a flexible schedule to accommodate working professionals and includes personalized feedback from your instructor.

$650 tuition rate. Upon completion, a certificate is awarded by the Centre for Executive Education at the University for Peace, established by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
